LIHTZ BIOGRAPHY

Philadelphia’s Andrew Christian Howard, p/k/a “LIHTZ” is a multifaceted artist that has made a name for himself in television and the music industry. Born in West Philly, Lihtz had a rough upbringing moving from shelter to shelter with his sickly mother. At the age of 7-years-old, Lihtz and his family moved to West Oak Lane or the “Uptown” area of Philadelphia. It was here where he made a name for himself.

Inspired by his uncle, “Big Biscuit,” who was a rapper, Lihtz wanted to follow in his footsteps and by the age of 10-years-old, he found himself in a rap group. This along with his time in church has played a heavy role in the soulfulness of his music and heartfelt lyrics.

Lihtz briefly moved to Atlanta after high school and studied game from a lot of the talent out there while honing in on his sound. Upon moving back to Philly, Lihtz receive a cosign from Gillie Da Kid (Million Dollars Worth of Game Co-host) which in turn helped launch his music career.

Now known for his versatile sound, Lihtz style incorporates raw, gritty lyrics on up-tempo harmonies. From videos featured on BET JAMS and Revolt TV  to stage show presence, Lihtz has set the tone as a multifaceted entertainer.

In Fall 2015, Lihtz appeared on five episodes of FOX’s hit series “EMPIRE” starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. Lihtz played the role of Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) closest and most trusted friend in her entourage that overprotects her from Lucious Lyons sneaky antics.

“I am the man of the people, I represent the underdogs..the ones that was counted out. I remind them that anything is possible if you work hard and you never give up,” stated in an interview.

Since releasing his debut project “The Switch Up” in 2016, Lihtz has been featured on several notable Hip Hop outlets such as Sway in the Morning and more recently, On The Radar. The Uptown crooner has received cosigns from some of the biggest names in Philly, from Wallo & Gillie, Def Jam signee Fridayy, and Meek Mill, who featured Lihtz on “Never Lose” off his 2017 Wins & Loses album. In 2019, Lihtz was one of a handful of selected artists to contribute to 1800 Tequila’s 1800 Seconds Vol. 2 album curated by Atlanta rap giant, Future.

Living life to the fullest, Lihtz hopes to make an impact on the culture and be mentioned with the greats one day.
